Coaches Weekly and Post Game Press Conferences Excuses

It seems that in every weekly and post game press conference we hear the excuse that coaches need to coach better. We need to motivate better. We need to execute better. It’s the same whether it’s Elko, Fisher, Sumlin or whoever. During those conferences the question is never raised to why that’s not happening. We just let coaches get by with the same party line crap.
Coaches have been with these players for spring camp. Fall camp. 11 football game weeks and 13 season week practices. When in the hell are we going to coach better, teach better, motivate better to play 4 quarters of football?
Our D line supposedly has nfl players all over it. We have a player from Purdue that lead his conference in sacks last year. Yet we can’t make a tackle. We cant sack a QB. We can’t stop a team from driving the field in less than 2 minutes to tie the game. We have DBs that are watching the ball fly over their heads for TDs. What the hell is the reason
We have lost 2 night SEC games to inferior teams where we fell behind by 17 and 21 points before we even thought of scoring. Why? Are we so non motivated than we can’t wake up. Are our coaches being outcoached? If we can’t get up and motivated to play for a conference championship and a playoff birth we don’t belong on the field.
Our opponents are not scared of us. We are not respected by The SEC, ESPN,ABC, or Finebaum because we don’t produce. We don’t succeed. We don’t show up at games. Not sure if we belong. We are a 8-4 team. We have always been and always will be until we stop accepting excuses and mediocrity.
Elkos press conference today will be like all the others. Same excuses leading to same results. Non of other coaches are seriously held accountable. Is large amounts of NIL money worth mediocrity? Is paying a coach 7-10 mil a year worth it?
Not sure at this point. Hope someday our coaches are put on the spot.

My biggest concern is seeing the small cracks

First off, I want Coach Elko to have the time needed to get this program to where we all want it to be. I’m not advocating for throwing the baby out with the bath water after one year.

I think my concern is that you’re seeing small cracks already.

- Defense getting absolutely destroyed in consecutive SEC road games

- Offensive coordinator not adapting scheme to fit his QB (my opinion)

- Losing games that we must win to get us to the top of the SEC

It’s imperative that Elko fix these ASAFP. If he doesn’t, the small cracks become huge holes that he won’t be able to recover from.

I think Elko has at least four years, but I do not want this to be another failed head coaching experiment.

Halftime observations

Garbage. Absolute garbage.

I don't know what else you can say. It's been absolute garbage. A&M looks totally unprepared, intimidated and not overly interested. And this team is not good.
Payton Thorne is a trash quarterback and he's looked like Tom Brady. He has completed 7 of 9 passes for 190 yards and 2 touchdowns. That's 27.1 yards a completion. Cam Coleman has absolutely humiliated Dezz Ricks. He's over 100 yards and has two scores. The A&M has done a good job limiting Jarquez Hunter's efficiency, but it hasn't mattered at all. Thorne is picking A&M apart, and I can't figure out what on earth they're doing defensively. They're looking completely lost, and their pass rushers are running themselves completely out of plays. It's slop.
Oh, and their tackling sucks again.
Offensively, they've actually moved the ball pretty well. Auburn's defense has done a good job stopping the big run, but A&M has been able to get consistent positive yardage. Marcel Reed is taking off too early, and that's caused him to miss some wide open receivers. He's also not showing very good vision, because he keeps cutting inside when he could get more yardage by going out.
Jahdae Walker has been the guy so far, catching four passes including two for first down. They've made some plays, but not enough when they need them.
The Aggies do get the ball to start the third quarter, so maybe they can do something. But that last weak drive after the shanked punt was a huge disappointment. That had to be points and they didn't even get any yardage out of it.
Right now, A&M is playing worse than a bad football team. Defensively, they need to get their crap together immediately, because this is two straight crap performances against lower-tier SEC offenses. They are not playing close to their reputation as a "good" defense. Right now, they're bad.

It's gut-check time. Let's see if A&M has any.

FOCUS ON tu

that’s all that matters

Regroup. Never speak of it. Move on.

How many Aggies do we have left to mount a cavalry against the most hated program in all the land?

Raise your glass or your hand and show you are capable and ready to march to Aggieland in spirit or in flesh.

End your Aggie to Aggie bickering and Claim your focus to hating all things Longhorn on this thread.

It’s time to mount up. No time to lament. We have an SEC championship on the line! A playoff spot on the line.

And 12 or is it 13 LONG YEARS WAITING TO DESTROY OUR MOST HATED RIVAL!!!!

We still control our own destiny

I’ve been pretty negative on here since last night. But truthfully, nothing changed other than the overall confidence in our team. It was always going to take us beating tu to get in the SEC Championship. So nothing has changed there. I’ve said it many times, it was always going to take us winning the SEC Championship to get in the CFP. So nothing has changed there.

The real loser last night was the SEC. 3 of their 6 CFP contenders lost. Alabama is out. Ole Miss is out. We are dangling by a thread. There are only 3 SEC teams left with 2 losses or fewer…tu, Georgia, Tenn. And if we do beat tu and Georgia, there will only be 1.

Just Stop - Let’s Be Real

After Jimbo debacle and what appeared was our program sinking as players were in portal… Elko comes in stabilizes program and at the beginning of the season if we were told we could play the sips at end of year in what equates to a Play in game to go to SEC championship we would have taken it every day of the week.

Move on, $hit happens on the Plains and it is officially BTHO tu week. Bring it to Kyle field and we will beat the brakes of the sips.

This will be a fun week, enjoy it Ags and show up and be loud!

I have never said anything bad about a school immediately after a game

Until now.
Auburn didn't do a damned thing to try to stop the field rush and just watched. And one of the A&M reporters got hit from behind and knocked to the turf as he was just walking past. He probably got concussed. I want to use a lot of F bombs, but I won't. But my respect level for this institution just hit 0.

Texans fans

Is it just me or does it seams like the Texans and Aggies always have a lot of parallels? If the Aggies are performing well, so are the Texans. The last few years the Texans OL sucks ass, so do the Aggs. They both get their OL straightened out and start running the ball well at the same time. There are so many more examples.

The latest example: this last weekend the Aggs play against a young QB that players have some personal connection with and harass him all game in a dominant fashion.....and the Texans do the same to Caleb Williams.

Am I making this sh** up in my head or do others see the same? Obviously it's complete coincidence but just something I notice.

***A&M-Auburn game thread***

Good evening from Jordan-Hare, where it's pretty chilly. A&M is in all whites; Auburn is wearing their navy jerseys, white pants and white helmets, so it'll be interesting to see how they handle all the like colors.
We're waiting to see the teams really get out on the field and warm up, so I'll keep you posted if we see Chase Bisontis.
