Is someone out there trying to cause issues at tamu football?

Fan Sided article.........

Texas A&M might have won, but it’s a win they won’t be too thrilled with themselves for. They let a struggling Mississippi State team hang with them in a game they probably should have ran away with. I know, the Bulldogs hung with Georgia last week too. Be that as it may, it doesn't make it acceptable for A&M to let Mississippi State hang around.

Especially when you look at how bad Conner Weigman played in the 34-24 win in Starkville on Saturday. It was the first game he threw an interception in and he threw two of them. The offense struggled in the second half, scoring 13 points and just one touchdown.

Though it was the first game Weigman threw an interception and had two at that, does it make you think maybe it might be time to consider going back to Marcel Reed?

t.u.’s problem is cultural

They do not have it in their DNA to be physical and dominant at the LOS. And even with all the shifts in the SEC the #1 defining characteristic of winning in the SEC is being physical and dominating the LOS.

Name one team that has won the SEC in the last 25 years (since the spread really came on the scene with OU’s national title in 2000) that wasn’t dominant on the LOS. I can’t do it.

t.u. hasn’t had that sort of team in the trenches since 2005 and even though they ran the spread it was more of what Meyer ran at Florida that was based on having a physical QB running the zone read and hitting play-action passes. And that was an anomaly for them. They have always been known for having a country club environment and were soft under Brown before the Vince Young seasons and were soft afterwards. And none of Strong, Herman, or Sark have changed that. They’re pretty loaded at skill positions and have a couple dudes in the trenches but not much depth and don’t have the mindset of wanting to hunker down and dominate the man across the LOS from them.

SEC teams are definitely willing to spread out these days and throw the ball around but we are still a LOS league at heart.

***A&M- Mississippi State game thread***

Good afternoon from Davis Wade, where the weather is about perfect. Very little wind, not a cloud in the sky and temps in the low 70s.
Terry Bussey is off the injury list and has been out warming up. Conner Weigman has been out already too.
Jaylen Henderson is out.
State is going with maroon pants jerseys and white helmets; A&M is going with the regular maroon helmets with white jerseys and maroon pants.

SEC Do Not Let It Go Unchecked

In 2021, the SEC fined Tennessee $250k when fans threw bottles on the field. Tenn also had to use video to identify offending individuals and ban them from events for the remainder of the academic year.

Same penalties should apply to what we saw tonight.

Whatever the case let’s BTHO lsu and take sole possession of first place Ags!

Show up and make a difference 12th Man.

It's Not juju.

Over 10 years A&M has faced MSU with slovenly slack, losing 8, and allowing them to think they OWN us.

So MSU EXPECTS to clean our clocks every year. It's kinda like the same attitude we have about facing Arkansas. Our expectation is that we will always beat the porkers in Dallas.

MSU EXPECTS to s stomp the Ags every year, , no matter where played, because they think they OWN us.

Maybe this is the year we turn that misconception around for the dogs,
