The start of practice was more of the same with special teams spending a large portion of the start of practice working on kick off return. The normal cast of characters were back taking reps as the returners (Brandon Williams, Christian Kirk, Quiv Gonzales, James White and Brice Doelzal)
For the first time all spring (at least for me) they let us see some live action scrimmage. There weren't any big plays of note, the first team went 3 and out and the second team made little progress but did kick a 50 yard field goal (Taylor Bertolet) that would have been good from 60.
The personnel groupings tonight were:
1st team backfield was Kyle Allen, Brandon Williams and Jordan Davis (TE) lined up off the ball.
1st team OL was (left to right) Avery Gennesey, Keaton Sutherland, Koda Martin, Joseph Cheek and Germain Ifedi
1st team receivers were Ricky Seals-Jones, Frank Iheanacho and Edward Pope
1st team d-line was Hardreck Walker and Alonzo Williams on the inside with Myles Garrett and Julien Obioha outside.
1st team linebackers were Claude George and Mac Labhart
1st team defensive backs were - Nick Harvey and Victor Davis at CB with Noel Ellis at nickel and Sam Moeller and Justin Evans at safety
2nd team backfield was James White and Conner McQueen
2nd team OL was Ryan Lindblade, Braden Meador, Koda Martin, Jermain Eluemunor, Zach Ledwik
2nd team WR were - Sabian Holmes, Boone Niederhofer, Jeremy Tabuyo
2nd team d-line was - Deshawn Washington, Zaycoven Henderson, Jarrett Johnson and Qualen Cunningham
2nd team LB were - Richard Moore, a jersey number 16 (not on roster) and Kevin Wilson
2nd team DBs were - Alex Sezer and Tavares Garner at corner with Will Paulhill and someone else not listed (jersey 48) at safeties.
The second team defense was sprinkled with several walk-ons, some listed and some not.
