It's rare, but I respectfully disagree with you this time. Biden didn't have any global credibility to lose in the first place. And I've already seen enough to know what Kamala has (nuthin'). She'd never last anyway. If Pelosi ever got that close to the oval, she'd take Kamala out. Sad as it is, I think the best move right now is no move. Ride out senile Uncle Joe and try to limit them until the '22 election. Admittedly, that will be painful. (Taiwan is probably next)...but we just don't have any good options. IMHO, replacing Biden would be tantamount to replacing Stumlin with Kissin Tom. We'd probably end up with Jake Spazital.
No question. But the issue for most is not leaving Afghanistan. It is the execution of same.

I'd bet our "lines" aren't that far apart. He crossed mine a long time ago. The man is morally and ethically bankrupt and I couldn't care less about him. I just don't want our deserved disdain and anger to further victimize the country any further than is absolutely required, i.e. I don't want us to make things worse by compounding bad decisions. It's now a matter of strategic political timing, imo. We need to get closer to the election before we'll have any prayer of improving things. Meanwhile, we need for him to go to Camp David, eat his ice cream and DO NOTHING. Sadly. imo, that is the best of the bad options we can hope for.

We went there because of Al-Qaeda. We don’t care much about the Taliban. They’re Afghans that stay within their borders and behave like assholes.
Comes down to the leadership. Trump and what he did in that area scared the Taliban enough to where you can hold it with 2500 troops and they wouldn't dare kill an American for fear of what would come back at them. Biden chooses to remove troops before removing arms or support personnel. He got the order wrong. That is why troops are going back in to get the people and we just equipped the Taliban for the next 5-10 years.
Biden was shooting for a date 9-11-21to be out. Think about that and what kind of leader (person) it would take throw so much to the wind for selfish pride. Sicking. All of this makes me ill.
Now that 9-11 date is the date the Taliban has said to have all American's out by. Joe wanted it to be memorial and boy he sure got it. The date terrorists dictated to you for full removal. Weak and Feckless.

The purpose of our mission there was, is and still should be to stop more 09/11s coming out of Taliban controlled Afghanistan by killing people who aim to kill Americans with mass attacks like 09/11 was. That mission has been an unmitigated success for 20 years. It's a mission tailored for SOF, because that's what they do, and can continue to do as long as there is a threat there. This is not a war, it's confrontational threat short of war.
From the outside looking in that sums up my take.

They had a General yesterday give a press conference on Afghanistan. and at the bottom it says Biden to speak shortly.
This is what he campaigned on and they voted for. Flooding of the border and Gates himself said Biden has been wrong on every foreign policy for the past 40 years. This was what democrats voted for so buckle up. It’s only been 7 months. I don’t think we as a nation truly understand how bad this guy has screwed our nation. And it’s on purpose. These are the outcomes they think are good in some warped way. Hell they cheered on and ignored our own government (DOJ,FBI, CIA, etc) making shit up out of thin air to impeach an elected president. They tore the county apart for an entire summer and the military arm they used were never prosecuted. This is an all out assault on anyone or anything conservative and the Republicans joined in.
