Just committed. Who’s he?

As I'm watching the Lions and Dan Campbell take on the 49'ers in the NFC Championship rematch, I looked up how Dan got into coaching.

He called up Mike Sherman, our HC at the time and told him he thought he wanted to get into coaching and if he could come to Spring ball at A&M. Just see what it entailed from the coaching perspective. Sherman said sure, come on down. Dan showed up and is introduced to Zac Taylor, A&M's TE coach. Zac was younger and hadn't coached tight ends, so having Dan around for a few weeks helped with some of the basics of playing the position. Dan said he knew pretty quick that Zac was a pretty damned good coach.

Zac for those that don't remember is the Cincinnati Bengals head coach. Zac is married to Sarah Sherman Taylor, Mike's daughter.

I love me some Dan Campbell (and Aaron Glenn). That is all. At ease, carry on...

Texas A&M remains strong ahead of his commitment:

It isn’t accurate and with the use of video it seems like a waste. Given the state of and difficulty in refereeing it seems like the goal should be to make the job simpler where possible. Asking them to throw a bean bag to mark a spot seems a bit antiquated. Am I missing something?

The only examples I found of one of a career best coach comming in and having great success year one was Urban Meyer who was taking over a loaded team that was 12-1 the prior year and Steve Spurier who did an amazing job at Florida year one going 9-2.

According to the report, there were a total of 26 confidential human sources in the crowd that day, but only three of them were assigned by the bureau to be there.

One of the three confidential human sources tasked by the FBI to attend the rally entered the Capitol building, while the other two entered the restricted area around the Capitol.

If a confidential human source is directed to be at a certain event, they are paid by the FBI for their time.

Twenty-three of the confidential human sources present on Jan. 6 came to Washington, D.C., to the Capitol on their own. Of that group, three entered the Capitol during the riot, and an additional 11 sources entered the restricted area around the Capitol.

Haven’t been dominant to say the least.

Reading through the thread about the mystery Cajun gift box that @travster23 got in the mail has me thinking about pepper vinegar. Yesterday, I obviously had collard greens and black eyed peas. They got a good dousing of my homemade pepper vinegar as I am wont to do.

Mine used homegrown pequins that flood my garden twice a year. I add:

1. about a 1/4 cup of fresh, red pequins
2. a cup of apple cider vinegar
3. a crushed garlic clove
4. teaspoon of black peppercorns
5. big pinch of kosher salt
6. a big bay leaf

I give that about a month in a jar, shaking it every few days. After that, I filter it through a paper towel, and transfer it to an old Tabasco bottle. Greens, peas, beans, etc.....pretty happy about it. I usually have to have a few spoonfuls all by itself.

Anybody got any better ideas? Travster, what's your hot sauce recipe again? Weren't you making a sriracha kinda sauce?
