Election Interference? Dems Won't Certify Election If Trump Wins​

Despite their constant whining about the Jan. 6, 2021, “insurrection,” the Democrats recently admitted that they won’t certify the 2024 election results if Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is elected.

Axios reported that the Democrats would certify the election results only if Trump used “free, fair and honest means to secure a victory,” which, according to Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., is not what Trump would do. This statement implies that he would be declared a winner only if he cheats.
“[Trump] is doing whatever he can to try to interfere with the process, whether we’re talking about manipulating electoral college counts in Nebraska or manipulating the vote count in Georgia or imposing other kinds of impediments,” the politician told the news source.
Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill., also questioned whether Trump would win the election fair and square, telling Axios that she doesn’t know “what kind of shenanigans he is planning.”
Conservatives on Twitter pointed out the hypocrisy after the article was published.
“I’ve been told this type of rhetoric is “dangerous to our democracy” or something,” @Patriot_Vibes wrote.

Co-owner of Trending Politics, Colin Rugg, also mocked the Democrats who have been talking non-stop about Republicans and Trump’s alleged attempt to overthrow the government at the beginning of 2021.
“The ‘democracy defenders’ won’t commit to certifying an election?” he wrote.

Others wrote that the recent news is a warning from Democrats about their own insurrection, this time it being real and violent.

Some conservatives noted that hearing about the recent news was not surprising after the Democrats replaced Joe Biden, who was elected by leftists during the primaries, with the current Democratic presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, who nobody cared about before the disastrous debate between Trump and Biden.
“No surprise there. They threw democracy out the window when they put Kamala in w/o a single vote. Why wouldn’t they pull some more shenanigans? We’ll get SCOTUS involved if we have to, but they need to do their job or GTFO,” an anonymous person wrote.

The Democrats’ recent comments are also unsurprising because Raskin said he would never allow Trump to be in the White House again.
“I’ve been warning of this for months. Here is Rep Jamie Raskin confirming what I’ve been predicting. Even if President Trump wins the 2024 election, Democrats will not accept the results and refuse to leave the White House, creating a civil war scenario,” investigative reporter and commentator Drew Hernandez said.

Spent 8 years in OKC from ‘02 (right after they won their last championship) to ‘10. Got to watch the Ags kick their #1 ranked ass while watchin the game with 10-12 of the most obnoxious OU fans you can possibly imagine. One of the best days of my entire sports life. They were like tu fans, but they actually had a championship to back up their bullshit. It was a tough time to be a lone Ag in Oklahoma. What makes things worse for Mississippi State is that they've played worse at home than on the road. The Toledo and UF thumpings were both in Starkville. The worst thing is that QB Blake Shapen, who was off to a very good start (974 yards, 8 TD in 3 1/2 games), is gone for the year. New starter Michael Van Buren, a freshman and not Andrew Jackson's successor, is completing just a little over 50% of his passes and they have become run heavy. But Van Buren's not a runner. Things are just flat bad for the Bulldogs, and they have Georgia next.

LSU has a massive game against Ole Miss tomorrow night. To say it's season-altering is not an overstatement. You can also argue it's the first time LSU has played a good team, as their opponents are combined 11-15 (and that includes an FCS team with a losing record). Ole Miss has the nation's best rush defense so far, leads the nation in tackles for loss and is third in sacks. If the Rebels get after Garrett Nussmeier, that could be really bad. And if Ole Miss does, then the gameplan for A&M will probably be very similar.

South Carolina's opponents have combined for a 14-13 record so far and things are only getting tougher. They have, in their next three games, at Alabama, at Oklahoma and A&M. They're essentially one-dimensional, as LaNorris Sellers is a capable running quarterback but hasn't thrown for more than 166 yards in his four starts. They're 110th in passing yards, which is skewed upward by the 243 Robbie Ashford threw for against Akron, possibly the worst team in FBS. The only two capable offenses Carolina has played, LSU and Ole Miss, combined to put up 845 yards on the Gamecocks.
I know some of you are scared of this team and this game, but judging from how they've played, that may be unwarranted.

Auburn is not an easy place to play, but the Tigers are 2-3 at home so far this year. They have two more road games coming up after their first one, the trip to Athens which didn't go well. Auburn's opponents are 19-13, and they've lost to all four opponents who have winning records. But when you're 132 in turnover margin and have already given the ball away 15 times, that's more than just a glitch. That's a trend of bad play.

Texas is very good, to be sure, but their opponents are a combined 13-13. They have not been tested yet, and I'm not sure a one-dimensional OU team is a test either. That may have to wait until Georgia. But, without question, these guys are the biggest remaining challenge for A&M on their schedule. It's not even close. Everyone else has serious flaws, and Texas has yet to show any.

No problems for Weigman this week

The Aggies had a little more relaxed schedule this week due to the bye, but in any event, there were no problems or setbacks for quarterback Conner Weigman. His arm hasn't given him any trouble since he started practicing again 12 days ago. Just in case there was any thought, there is no competition. He's the starter.

Barber, Bussey ready to add to offense
Something we saw really for the first time last Saturday was Jabre Barber and Terry Bussey both getting down the field on their pass routes. Both had been limited to plays around the line of scrimmage until recently, with Barber finally getting down the field some against Arkansas and Bussey having several deep routes against Missouri. Barber is now getting close to fully healthy, and that should mean more reps and deeper routes. Bussey, clearly, is starting to feel comfortable at receiver. He looked the part against Missouri. If those guys can continue to pick up their production, life gets much tougher for opponents and easier for Noah Thomas, Jahdae Walker and Cyrus Allen.

Coaches out in Cali
Coronoa (Calif.) Centennial won 63-0 last night and quarterback Husan Longstreet had some big names in attendance. Coach Mike Elko and offensive coordinator Collin Klein both made the trip out west to see the 2025 commit, who has rebuffed overtures from USC to stick with the Aggies. Defensive coordinator Jay Bateman will be in California tonight to see linebacker commit Noah Mikhail.

Confidence is high on a Rogers flip
Having Lamont Rogers at the Missouri game ended up being a great thing for the Aggies, as the highly-rated 4-star offensive tackle got to see the difference between the two teams in person. Though Thomas has not said anything one way or the other since the trip, people close to the program and industry observers both anticipate that Rogers will flip his commitment from Missouri to A&M. There's no timeframe on this, but I wouldn't be shocked if it doesn't happen pretty soon.

The weekly Weigman update
Quarterback Conner Weigman is the proverbial gametime decision, but I would put his chances of actually playing at between slim and none. Marcel Reed is going to start. Weigman didn't practice Monday or Tuesday and got limited snaps Wednesday. I would not be surprised if he's not ready to go until after the bye week.

Big injury update for Arkansas
The Razorbacks have not been good against the pass to begin with, but their best corner, Jaylon Braxton, has been downgraded to Out for tomorrow's game. From the sounds of things, they aren't really confident in their other corners, so this could be a serious factor in tomorrow's game.

Elko works to prevent DT commit from visiting Texas
3-star DT Chase Sims has been a longtime target for Texas and, even after he committed to A&M, they expected they'd have a real chance at flipping him. It looked like their best opportunity was going to be this weekend, when he was going to take an official visit to Austin for the Mississippi State game. But, over the past week, coach Elko and company were in consistent contact with Sims and convinced him not to go. The visit is off, and for now, he seems quite solid in his commitment.

Aggies look to control line of scrimmage on offense
Arkansas has some talent up front, but from talking to people on both sides, their defensive line has not been good this year. It's been a disappointment in what has been a respectable start. We know that A&M wants to come out and run the ball, so the offensive line has been challenged all week -- as you'd expect -- to take it to the Hogs up front. I asked Elko about whether the team had hit on something with the run like they did against Florida in 2020, and he said that, while he didn't know about that, the offensive line had been urged by the coaching staff to become the group that gives this team an identity. Their best shot to do it would be this weekend.

Who's the backup center this week?
On the depth chart, it's freshman Ashton Funk. He has played center in a game, but only for seven snaps. The more likely replacement is Kam Dewberry, who played a lot this past weekend when Chase Bisontis was out, and also got some reps at right guard. TJ Shanahan is out this week after suffering an injury last week, but it doesn't seem to be overly severe and definitely not season-ending.

Change coming at nickel?
We may say Jaydon Hill early against Arkansas, especially in running downs, but don't be surprised to see BJ Mayes taking an increased number of snaps at nickel. He played a good portion of the fourth quarter against Bowling Green and Hill, bluntly, is a liability against the pass. Mayes may not be quite as fast as Will Lee, Jayvon Thomas and Dezz Ricks, but he can cover a slot receiver fine. And they'll need that this weekend.
