I’m renting a fenced in lot in Downtown Dallas . This property management company says that I own them $1700 in late fees because they didn’t receive my renewal check on the 6th. Ended up mailing the check a week ago Wednesday.
On a side note:
I offered to bring them the check on February 19th and they never responded back.
The guy goes off in a very aggressive manner today, like something else is going on here.
I have a hundred more details that are weird. Something else is going on. We are very good customers, hence paying lease upfront.
Can this guy just claim to not receive our rent check and charge late fees that exceed the rent value?
