Elko:
Says it's still way early into camp and that there haven't been any decisions made yet.
Team's starting to get used to the tempo that they want, and he's pleased with the progress so far.

I asked him if the injuries have remained at a minimum and he said yes, that they've had a couple of guys miss a practice and that's been about it.

On Shemar Stewart, he says that he's taken "immense effort" to push through from a player with great potential to getting to that potential. "We've said it, we've got two really good defensive end."

On Chase Bisontis (who apparently bonded with Elko over bagels), "The Jersey connection helps... you have about 48 hours to build relationships, so maybe the Jersey connection helped."
Says he's done a great job at guard, "a plus player for us".

Asked about the secondary, he said not much as changed, but getting Dezz Ricks and Terry Bussey out there has been good. It remains a very intense competition.

Says it's been good to see Donovan Green improving, that he's getting better every practice and is getting the rust knocked off.

On WILL linebacker, he mentions Scooby Williams, that Daymion Sanford has taken the next step and that Solomon DeShields made a lot of big plays last night and things are starting to click for him.

Talking about the first scrimmage (Saturday), they want to go at a game tempo. "We have a winning formula for each side of the ball." It's more than just scoring, he said it's "myriad" things that go into it. They do the same thing in practice, but not in Kyle Field. "We run a game operation from practice 1 all the way through, so hopefully it's not a massive change."

Asks us not to ask kids about last year, that it's gone.
