Anyone on the board compete in these at all? I work with a lady who's father does this, and it's raised some questions that she cannot answer.
I am looking through past champion's recipes and it all 'seems' so straight forward. It makes me wonder what sets someone apart from the rest. I understand there's apparently a pretty short window of time to prepare said chili, which makes me wonder. Are pressure cookers allowed? I see lots of folks just using canned chicken broth. Could you bring a pressure cooker and bust out a fast chicken stock to makes things just a bit better?
