Kyrie

He is the gift that keeps on giving. I'm not laughing because he promotes anti-Semitic material. I'm laughing because I dislike the Nets, Kyrie, KD (what a longhorn bitch), and Ben Simmons. Kyrie is basically a Kardashian with a better jumpshot at this point.

Here’s what I’ve been told re: OC

This comes from multiple well placed sources “at the highest levels of your university.” Wait, that line has been used. Scratch that. Go with VERY well-placed sources. Some of you know who they are and can back me on this.
“It’s happening. Changes are coming.” I was left with the impression that it will happen swiftly after the conclusion of the season.
Note “changes”. Not a change. If these guys are right, and it would be incredible if they’re not, there will be a new OC, a new scheme and changes at position coach.
Jimbo’s on board. I figured the desire to win would outweigh everything else and that seems to be the case.

Cataract Surgery

Across the spectrum of topics, AggieYell is unparalleled in providing advice whether it be lawn care or visiting the home of a married woman whose husband will be “upstairs” while the poster is being entertained. My question is much less interesting. Ags, I’m faced with cataract surgery and need your input on which lens to select. Thanks for your help in advance.

Foot Doctors On Here!

So this past weekend I injured my left big toe and didn’t know I injured it until about an hour after the shenanigans happened. I went to Urgent Care this morning and they ran an X-ray and sure enough the middle bone joint is shattered and the bone above it is chipped. Apparently this particular injury requires surgery so they referred me to a specialist and told me they would give me a call asap within the next day or two. I’m sure the specialist will answer my questions but anybody that is an expert in this field or has had a similar experience in the past, can you tell me how long the usual down/recovery time is after surgery?

High schools with open enrollment and recruiting

So we all know that big-time HS programs in Texas recruit kids/families to come play for them. They use all kinds of inducements and ways to work the UIL transfer rules but I've been told by multiple people that Galena Park ISD has open enrollment too which allows them to draw stud athletes from beyond the boundaries for North Shore HS.

And there is this info on the GP ISD web site:
Limited Open Enrollment (LOE) allows children who do not live within Galena Park ISD’s boundaries to apply for enrollment.

Of course it's claimed that this cannot be used for participation in extracurricular activities but we all know that's bullshit.

Does anybody know of other high schools in the state which take advantage of this? I'm sure there's more if North Shore is doing it.

So what is the protocol on scholarships when a player....

I was thinking back on a few players who for one reason or another either left on their own accord during a semester, others who were dismissed from the team, or others who were not only dismissed from the program but were also sent packing by the university. Know of a couple of Corps guys who repeatedly violated multiple rules and were kicked out of the Corps during the semester. One was allowed to move in elsewhere (a fraternity) and continue his studies. Another was kicked out of the university for the remainder of the semester with readmittance conditional on counseling. He did not make it back.

What is the protocol for a student/athlete who simply quits during the semester? Is his scholarship immediately revoked and must pay the university back? Does he/she get to finish the semester with no reimbursement to the university before saying bye?

Then what happens when a student is dismissed from the team for 'violations of team rules'? Remember one who was shown the door for inappropriately revealing his goods to a tutor. Another for not going to class and had multiple team issues (and getting stoned). What is the protocol here for being dismissed for repeated violation of team rules? I think in the past, some have been allowed to complete the semester if the university is not kicking them out. However, if they are told to leave the university, do they have to pay anything back? If it is more serious, i.e. robbery and weapons, is the athlete allowed to complete the semester, or do they have to leave immediately? Does the university seek reimbursement for tuition, fees, and board if they are told to leave during the semester?

I realize some of this is case by case determinations but is there a protocol?
