Need a new thread on Russia with updates.......too much old stuff there

Wagner forces were 16 hours away (Rostov-on-Don) from Moscow and now are 6 hours away in Voronezh. They are apparently moving with little resistance. A Russian helicopter did fire on Wagner forces today. Wagnor group says they have control of two major military facilities including the one that controls the offensive in the Ukraine. That has to be impacting Russian forces there.

There are also reports of special operation planes leaving Voronezh and Moscow taking military officials. Russian money people, etc. away from the south. One report says Putin's plane left Moscow.

What ya'll hearing?

Drelon Miller & Tyanthony Smith note.

Changed my FutureCast back to A&M for TyAnthony Smith, I jumped the gun on the USC hype… But, after some news I received this afternoon I believe this is A&M’s recruitment to lose at this point… Decision is expected by July.

Now with Drelon Miller who is announcing this Thursday. I keep hearing this is a USC & A&M battle and some sources I’ve talked to believe he will commit to A&M Thursday. Nothing confirmed, but he told me he will make his final decision with his family Monday.

Best Houston Happy Hours

I’m poor right now so when I’m tired of cooking I’ll try to find a cheap happy hour. I’ve got one spot that’s worth sharing, but I’d like to try some new places. Fwiw Fusion Taco on main st near Teotihuacan has $5 margaritas that are damn good, cheap happy hour tacos, and they give deals related to the Astros winning and hitting homers. Does anybody have some other not so obvious spots in Houston, preferably around the heights for a decent happy hour?

A Lot Of Lithium Batteries In Golf Carts Catching On Fire

There was a house close to me that burned completely down Wednesday morning at 2:00 am.

It just so happened that a buddy of mine was one of the fire chiefs that responded to the call.

The home owner was actually filming his house burning when my buddy arrived and told the fire department that he was awaken by his smoke alarms going off and open the door going into his garage to see his golf cart completely engulfed in flames and he shut the door and called 911.

Unfortunately he lost everything including his truck and an antique Mercedes between the fire and the hundreds of gallons of water it took to put it out.

My buddy was telling me of something the fire department refers to as "Thermal Runaway" as being the cause. I had to look up the meaning and it's when heat in the battery exceeds the amount of heat that dissipates into the batteries surroundings or when a lithium battery cell enters an uncontrollable self heating state.

I called by buddy Friday and asked him what would he do if he had a lithium battery in his cart and he said he'd only charge it when he was home (and awake) and unplug it as soon as it reached full charge. He said if you have one and leave it charging all of the time you're taking huge gamble.
