Where have the serial killers gone?

I realize I may be treading on the ground usually trod but such AY luminaries as @Higher Authority and @A2M Ag but a friend just posted on Facebook about the 34th anniversary of the killings at the University of Florida where he was a baseball player at the time and the "Gainesville Ripper" murdered 5 students over 3-4 days.

I had heard of this killer, Danny Rollings, before and shortly before he was executed he confessed to killing 3 other people in Shreveport in 1989. When in jail he even ended up getting engaged to some crazy-ass lady who wrote crime novels. And she herself had dated a guy in HS who later became a cop and was himself executed for murder and while only convicted of 2 murders was suspected of, and claimed to have killed 26 more.

In both of these cases the killers were seriously sick fvcks who raped and mutilated their victims. Often tortured them. And in some cases they raped the corpses of their victims too. I can't even fathom that sort of fvcked up evil but I know it exists.

However, it seems that these days for some reason there aren't these sick fvcks out there. Dennis Rader, the "BTK Killer," is seems to be the last one and he was caught in 2005 but he committed his last murder in 1991. Although part of the reason he was caught was his urge to kill couldn't be overcome and he confessed in 2004 that he was planning to kill somebody else and had been stalking them.

Anyway, thankfully it seems like there aren't these folks out there like there used to be and I wonder why. What happened? Better medication? Too easy to get caught so they find other outlets? Or are they better at concealing their crimes?

Tomorrow is Game Day, AggieTabi!

Hi. How are you, AggieTabi? That’s great and yes I am doing well. That is so sweet of you to ask. You’re such a nice person.

Hey. So who do you think wins tomorrow? I think the Aggies win. What about you? I bet you think the Aggies win, too.

OK. Well I should get going. I stay really busy! After this, I am going to eat lunch and then, well, lots of other important things. So have fun watching the game and Go Aggies!!!

Texas property tax methodology, will likely be under court review soon

Pretty interesting youtube on county appraisal districts reportedly not following the law/s on how to appraise your home/property.

Thus legal case is arising in Denton County (DFW) area and if the county and state courts do not take this seriously, the case may go to the US Supreme court

One of the fraudulant practices discussed is the county officials meeting with the appraisal district members and first reviewing their budget, then appraisal district backing into the appraisals and taxes to meet that budget. This man bringing the case comes seems very intelligent and says this case will happen no matter how much the county/state officials want to ignore.

ND Fans

My wife and I had the most obnoxious Notre Dame fans behind us the whole game. I now rank ND fans just below tu fans for the level of obnoxiousness they exude. It got worse towards the end of the 4th Quarter when it was obvious the Ags weren't going to pull this one out as the sands in the hour glass slowly trickled down to zero. Anyone else have that experience with the ND visitors?

The Cupcake Diaries

Times are changing in the art of scheduling cupcakes to play early in the season to tune up your team before playing the big boys.

My observations of games this and last weekend tell me the transfer portal is having a profound effect on the distribution of talent across all levels of conferences and is leveling the table.

I saw multiple games between traditional big boys and cupcakes where the competition was tight, with some very close games.....and some upsets. Probably more upsets than we have normally seen.

The transfer portal is keeping more talent in college. Instead of dropping out when they don't make the two deep roster, now players are transferring to where they can play and develop. You go through the rosters of these smaller schools now and you find they are many times loaded with transfers from some very good or elite programs.

The gap in talent between the top teams, the mid-level teams and the bottom tier teams is narrowing.

Despite the gnashing of teeth from the bluebloods, it is improving the competition and will increase interest in games that would normally have been a second thought.

The cupcakes are turning into pound cakes, and teams better be prepared when they step on the field for these "tune-ups".

Two great tickets for McNeese State - make ANY offer, even free.

Brother (*Ric) is not going. Has two very good tickets the game.
Section 346, row 10, seats 9 and 10.
You are seated right in the middle between the goal posts. Super view.

Contact him at his email address and let him transfer them to you. Not looking to make money on the deal.

Email him
If there is some organization that takes donations to help kids get in the game for free he would like to do that too.

NFR - Dove Hunting?

Had a chance to get my 100 lb couch dog Labrador out in the field yesterday in Taylor Texas - where he dutifully retrieved limits that my son and I shot. You all would get a chuckle on one of his last "retrieves" - where (if I could post the video) he was into a leisurely saunter on the way back given the temperature and his effort earlier in the day. We've taught him to get in a 128 qt ice chest with water, ice and towels to keep his temp good.

Anyone else have luck? Two limits here - with a few packs of whitewings numbering > 150 divebombing us. Tremendous number of birds sighted hunting over milo / corn.
