Starts by thanking the 12th Man again, says the unbelievable atmosphere.

Players of the week:

OL: Zuhn and Crownover. Says it’s Crownover’s best game.

DL: Turner and DJ Hicks, says Hicks has really come on the last three weeks.

Offense: Marcel Reed and Amari Daniels

Defense: BJ Mayes

ST: Tyler White

“It comes down to the critical factors. We won the critical factors.”

Says A&M was +7 on their special teams big factors, much of which had to do with White.

“When you can out-rush a team by nearly 200 yards, you’ll have a successful night.”

Says SC will be the biggest challenge of the year to date, that the Gamecocks could be 6-1 easily and has grown every week.

Addresses the comment he made Saturday night and says it’s asinine to think he was taking a shot at Jimbo. Says he has nothing but respect for “Coach Fisher” and he’s not the head coach at A&M without him. Also mentions he wasn’t talking for anyone else he coached for (Kelly).

Says they’ll let the week play out with the quarterbacks and see go from there. No decision on a starter yet.

Bisontis will be out “a couple weeks” and they’ll see where he is after the bye.

Says he’s “got nothing” on the pregame squabbles with LSU and they’ll deal with that internally.

His biggest irritation are pre-snap and post-snap penalties, and that it’ll “kill us” if they don’t get it figured out.

Calls the SC defense “phenomenal” and that their defensive ends will both be first round picks.

Says the secondary is really good and allows their defensive line to control games. “In games where they’ve been successful, their defense has taken things over.”

Says it wasn’t on Weigman completely Saturday night, saying it was “everywhere,” from playcalling to the O-line to receivers. But Reed is a quality QB and they knew they had an injection of quality.

Says they’re still not in a good timing rhythm in the passing game, and that’s hurting them. The O-line failing happened more Saturday night than it had all year.

“We have to get our passing game going in a rhythm if we’re going to go where we want to.”

Credits Collin Klein for finding “subtle tweaks and differences” between Weigman and Reed’s play calls so they can adjust to each without making a major change to the scheme.

Says that the team has done a lot to prepare for big moments like Saturday, to remember all the time and effort they’ve put on in, and that has made things different from past years.

Says Albert Regis has been “Immovable” and has forced opponents to change game plans because they can’t run off the middle.

“What we’re able to do, rotating people around (the D-line)…there’s a lot of quality in that group that allows us to rotate and keep people fresh.”

Says Weigman gets “too quick” when things aren’t going right, that he goes through his looks too fast, his mechanics get too quick. “Everything at quarterback is with your eyes and feet … sometimes he’s too fast.”

NIL and verbal commitments- how does it work?

So we're on a heater of landing verbal commitments from 2026 kids who can go just about wherever they want in the country. I know that technically, kids can't get NIL deals until they're enrolled but common sense tells that "rule" is being ignored. So how are NIL deals discussed for a kid who's 13 months away from being able to sign in December 2025? Is it a handshake deal? Money under the table like the old days?
