The first step in sorting through the messy situation that is Ezekiel Elliott's appeal of his six-game suspension is finally here. On Tuesday, the designated arbitrator in Elliott's appeal, Harold Henderson, upheld Elliott's suspension, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

So, as of now, Elliott will be forced to miss the first six games of the Cowboys' season. Those games will be played against the Giants, at the Broncos, at the Cardinals, against the Rams, against the Packers, and at the 49ers. He'll be eligible to return Week 8 against Washington.
