That Carson is a great athlete? As if he can outrun defenders on the edge. Outside runs, outside screens as if he is a speedster. Puts him at receiver. Then to top it off he lets him throw a pass. Has he ever thrown further than 10 yards? I mean that was embarrassing.
They had two weeks. They are playing one of the best defenses in the nation. He doesn't come up with anything? He doesn't see Carson's strengths and limitations? It's pretty obvious at this point that we are desperate at RB, so no effort to go with Brandon Williams? Is this the best we can do trying to compete with the best?
More than his play calling in general, more than his scheme, more than anything, this blows me away the most. It's so painfully obvious to everyone else but our staff. We'd truly be better off playing our walk ons in this scheme. Carson is a power back and a short yardage back. That's it.
