Do we know what play he suffered the injury? Was it early? You usually notice when a QB suffers an injury like that, but he was dog shit from the first series.
Does an AC injury come and go, pain wise? Just thinking in the McNeese State game he threw a few passes down field were that injury didn’t show up.
Also, did the coaches know during the ND game of the injury? If they did, why in the world would you not replace him. Why run him out there against McNeese State? This gives off the impression that they view Weigman not just a little bit better but a sizeable margin better than Reed. Why?
I think our defense gives the O a pretty good measure of how a good defense operates, not real game, but a good barometer of how a QB will play. How in the world, injury or not, did they look at Reed and Weigman (especially with Reeds running ability) and not go with Reed?
