He wasn’t my first choice, but I definitely don’t think he was a bad choice.
From what we know and I have heard, he wasn’t A&M’s first choice either, but the coaches we wanted before him turned us down.
Instead of all this gnashing of teeth, I want to know who you would’ve hired instead. Do not include Jedd Fisch or Kalen DeBeor.
Why would they have been better hires than Elko? Can you point to any statistics or empirical evidence that makes them head and shoulders above Elko?
After two games, some posters already think he’s trash and that he isn’t going to do anything at A&M.
You may absolutely be correct, but why are we now unwilling to give a coach any games to prove themselves? I have concerns too, but it’s two games into his tenure.
At minimum, he has 4 years. Are we going to hear how bad of a hire he was and how much he sucks after every loss?
