I want to insure I understand your comments. If you were given $118,000,000, and you felt like you "HAD" to stand up for your team mates so that you can earn your $118,000,000, that you would not do it, correct? You can insure that your family, kids and grand kids can weather any type of economic problems over the next 50 years, but you would not say something, that many in the US agree with, and just tell your family suck it up? It sure is easy to say that when we aren't presented with this type of opportunity.
When people can tell and feel there are no more hard hearts. This website is full of hard hearts as is Facebook which will keep this going.
So Utopia? I think the goal is too vague. We need decision makers to have concrete objectives and process goals. "Be better" means what?
Not utopia. You end this by showing people you care and you understand or at least are trying to understand and you stop posting anything that resembles belittling people. Destruction is bad and peaceful protests are good. The black lives matter Mission Statement is as pure and righteous as anything I’ve seen in today’s world. The people destroying things are not BLM but people who claim to be just the same as people who call themselves Christians but don’t live it in their lives are not Christians. BLM’s Mission Statement has nothing to do with destruction the same as Christianity has nothing to do with hard hearts or hate yet you see all of this running rampant on here and on social media and in daily conversations. In effect, politics has become bigger than Christianity. That is real destruction caused by all of us.
The scrubbed version currently on their website is certainly better than the original. But you're ignoring the leaders of BLM and what they call for.
I'd love to have greater healing and understanding in this country. After the George Floyd death, I'd say a super majority of people made clear that they care and are trying to understand. Ryan & many other athletes need to understand that many practices that are considered racist today were an ordinary way of life back in the early days of America.
They should be celebrating that our country's citizens from generations ago recognized this wrong & corrected it. People that say that this country was founded on racism are trying to apply the modern ideology of today to the times of 400-500 years ago & it's not accurate to do so, as the world has changed in so, so many ways since the immigrants began to arrive.

Their web site and mission statement completely changed once they got a little more attention on it than they bargained for. Call them righteous and pure if you want, but I saw it, and I know where the organization’s heart is based on their own doctrine. Conveniently no longer available.
I note with interest that slavery still exists in both Africa & the Middle East, and nether US nor international pressure is being directed at abolishing it.
Racism also exists in both places - officially, by law. Minorities are targeted - Whites & Brown Indians.
The Nation of Liberia was formed by former slaves from the US who returned to Africa in the 1800s under the famous Tubman family. The Tubmans became the ruling elite dictators in that country, and under their rule, slavery was legalized and practiced until the League of Nations forced Liberia to abolish it and make it illegal in the 1930s, but unofficially, it still goes on all over West & Central Africa.
Bottom line, the strong African tribes that sold the ancestors of every Black American into slavery have not only never been called into account for it, but are are quietly still at it ...oh, and you can still find their family statues in the squares of West African capital cities.

I am not aware of any changes to their Mission Statement. I read it months ago. I don’t know what it says today but it would be hard to improve on what I read the first time. If you can judge their hearts then judge Christian hearts and other organizations that you’ve observed and let us know what you’ve observed.
What about judging (1) explicit statements of various leaders of BLM and (2) actions?
I'll absolutely judge any Christian who espouses hatred and violence alongside any Christian who commits violence. In fact, it happens all the time. You're setting up a weird situation where supposedly someone's mere affiliation as a Christian or member of BLM means they're exempt from scrutiny.
This. The BLM organization is horrible. We have gone over this many times. BLM Org is run by self proclaimed well trained Marxists who want a new Marxist state based on identity politics. They want to get rid of the traditional black family and have no use for black fathers which is the most destructive thing they could do. They also want to totally defund the police and not in some imaginary cute way like taking a little money and adding it to social services.
I didn’t say anything about exemptions. No person or group is exempt. A Christian’s purpose is to be holy and should live it out. BLM purpose is righteous and it should be lived out. Both groups have too much hate driving them to listen to constructive criticism and, therefore, both have too many Who are failing to live it.
Don’t forget about the TCN slave labor in the Middle East. Surely people don’t think Arabs built Dubai, or anything for that matter.
When I refer to slavery & racism existing in the Middle East, I'm speaking of the Arab elites in the Gulf states.
