How much is enough to keep on hand? I have several guns, more than your average citizen, fewer than many of the gun guys on here. A S&W AR (5.56, nothing special) about a 1000 rounds. Dad's lever action Savage .243, 300 rounds, Several 9mms (Hellcat OSP with optics, S&W Shield, G3c, around 1200 rounds from 115 to 124 grain (40% Defense rounds, 60% ball), S&W Shield.45 ACP, around 700 rounds also about 40/60 defense ball ammo. Couple 380s ( my Sunday/work/ dress/wife's guns) Kimber and a Sig, say around 500 rounds. Couple of 1873 colt knock (Uberti birdshead) offs in .45 LC and 38sp about 400 rounds combined, CZ 612 HD 12 ga about 300 rounds #4 buck and an Ithaca SKB Side by Side 12 ga bird gun around 300 rounds in 7 1/2 and 4 shot...gotta eat. My serious question is...where am I deficient in either guns or ammo? What is your minimum ammo supply for your arsenal?
