I am thankful that I was introduced to Jason Isbell some time ago by reading this site.
In that vein, saw The Lone Bellow for the first time on the "Later...With Jools Holland" show a while back. Have they been discussed on here yet? Maybe I'm behind the curve.
Zach Williams started penning some poetry as a coping mechanism when his wife was paralyzed by a horse back riding accident. His friends urged him to turn it into music. He learned guitar, started solo and then met friend and fellow guitarist Brian Elmquist. They invited Kanene Pipkin to join them on stage one night, the harmony hit and the rest is history. Kind of an eclectic bluegrass. Interesting sound.
