Surprised nobody posted this yesterday... I know @Mark Passwaters isn't thrilled with this news, but Tunsil got traded to the Commandos for a haul of picks.
When the news came down yesterday, I just so happened to be sitting on the porch of a local dive establishment with one of the Sports Radio 610 hosts. He saw the news on ESPN and we started going nuts. He had just gotten done with show prep & ended up scrapping his whole plans for today's show. About 5 minutes later Nick texted him saying "Sorry for blowing up your radio station". Holy shit! Total baller move by Caserio.
Houston is a better team for Tunsil not being part of the OL. If you don't understand this, I can explain later (or any Texans fan can explain). For a measurement of how big this is... in a poll, 88% of fans are extremely happy with the trade. On the 610 youtube stream this morning, there are 175 viewers, typically 40-50 viewers at 6:30 AM in the offseason.
This brings up a great question... What other trades you can think of involved a multi time pro-bowler / all-star, considered a "top player at their position", piece of a "need position group" for a team, where the entire city was happy about that person leaving the team?
