First off, I prefer homemade BBQ sauce, and the one I make is spectacularly badass. It’s my grandmother’s recipe, and it’s phenomenal.
I like to have some store bought around for BBQ sausage wraps or something quick off the grill.
I’ve had a love/hate relationship with store bought BBQ sauce for a long time. Love that it’s available in a pinch, hate that it’s average at best. There are some that are better than others, but none that I would say are really good.
Well, I have now found one that has changed my mind. I saw “Terry Black’s Barbecue - Central Texas Original” on the shelf at HEB two weekends ago and I picked up a bottle.
It has the flavor I’ve been looking for in a bottle BBQ sauce for 25 years. It’s exclusive to HEB, but I’d tell you to try it out and not take my word for it.
