Smart guy:
The Longhorns are currently a 6.5-point favorite over the Aggies, but the health of Texas QB Quinn Ewers could change things. An MRI confirmed the junior signal-caller is battling a mild ankle sprain, and though he’s expected to start against Texas A&M, his health is something worth watching.
With so much at stake for both teams, former Florida Gators head coach Steve Spurrier believes this game has upset alert written all over it.
“I’m going to go for the upset — A&M,” he said during an appearance on “Another Dooley Noted Podcast.” “[With] 110,000 [fans], it’s one of the biggest ballparks in the country, and now they’re screaming and yelling. Jimbo [Fisher] couldn’t get them screaming — they’re doing it now. So, it’s home field advantage A&M, so I’m sort of taking A&M with it.”
