Dykes suggested that programs who have previously left the Big 12 Conference haven’t had some of the success they experienced previously, saying, “Missouri was playing in a lot of Big 12 championships… haven’t seen that much in the SEC. A&M was a competitive program, not as often now. I don’t know about you but UCLA and Rutgers feels like a natural rivalry to me.”

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A&M AND TCU, IS THAT A&M CAN CHOOSE WHERE THEY GO, WHILE TCU HAS TO BEG TO TAG ALONG.

YES, WE ARE HAPPY TO BE GONE FROM THE BIG 12. YES WE MADE THE RIGHT DECISION. NO, WE HAVEN'T HAD THE SUCCESS WE WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE... BUT WE WENT ON OUR OWN TERMS.

I LIKE TCU AND EVEN LIKE DYKES. BUT THEY ARE FOOLING THEMSELVES IF THEY BELIEVE THEIR NO CHOICE DECISIONS ARE BETTER THAN OUR CONTROL OVER OUR OWN DESTINY.
