nothing fancy or too stringent.

just a demonstration of basic literacy and reasoning ability.

We can’t get people to show a card with their picture and name on it to be able to vote.

demonstration of literacy and reasoning are out of the question.

i honestly think it would affect both major parties about equally.

also think it would be great for the country.

campaigns would be less infuriatingly stupid, for sure.

It sounds like it should be a good idea, but calls to mind the proverb about the road to hell, and all that.

I often thought if you can't provide a reasonable explanation of the 4th Amendment, define the difference between collectivism and free market economies and push a pin into Afghanistan on a world map . . . maybe you shouldn't be voting

it’s become pretty obvious that the politicians are increasingly pandering to a burgeoning population of dumbasses.

again, on both sides.

if america were a corporation, would you invest if you knew the dumbest stockholders were running it?

Add being a property owner to the requirement and I’m all in favor of it

Voter ID is wrong but I would be in favor of requiring a vaccine passport to vote.
