Don't know if anyone saw this, but Jackie Sherrill has suggested to Chief to spin down Donovan Wilson to LB. Reminds him of Domingo Bryant.

One day after Texas A&M defensive coordinator John Chavis compared Donovan Wilson to a prominent NFL safety, former Aggies coach Jackie Sherrill suggested that he switch positions.
Chavis compared Wilson with Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu because of their abilities to make big plays on defense.
“He had the ‘it’ factor,” Chavis said of the “Honey Badger.” “Now if you tell me to describe it, I can’t. But he had it. We’re starting to see some of that with Donovan.”
Sherrill, who won 52 games in six seasons as Texas A&M coach from 1982-88, joined in on the fun in commenting about Wilson’s playmaking abilities. Sherrill wants Chavis to plug Wilson, as well as safeties Armani Watts and Justin Evans, in at linebacker.
“There are three of them back there, you know Armani Watts, Justin Evans, and Donovan Wilson,” Sherrill told TexAgs.com. “I kept trying to get Coach Chavis, I said, ‘You know, you got three guys back there who are making all the plays, why not put them at linebacker?’”
It would be interesting to see how the 6-foot-1, 192-pound Wilson would fare at the linebacker position. The sophomore defensive back has forced five turnovers and has two sacks to start the season for the 5-0 Aggies.
Sherrill believes Wilson has enough punch to compensate for his lack of size if he were to switch to linebacker.
“Donovan Wilson does remind me of (former NFL defensive back and Texas A&M alum) Domingo Bryant. Stature wise, Domingo was like a string, but he had more explosion than any kid on that team, for his size – I mean in weight size,” Sherrill said. “When he hit you, it hurt.”

Its a honor to be compared to @Mathieu_Era #SavageSZN
