I’m going to preempt the “just win” or “let’s not look ahead” statements. I get it. And I agree. But I like football talk and interesting dynamics around tiebreakers and this is a discussion board.
So, with that out of the way, and assuming we take care of USCe and Auburn, if Georgia gets tripped by either Ole Miss or Tenn then it doesn’t matter what do vs Texas, we will be in the SEC Championship Game. We would have head to head on LSU and due to Vols’ loss vs Ark, have the second tiebreaker (record vs common opponent) over Vols.
My point is, it’s a very good chance that we play Texas back to back games. It would involve the above happening and then Texas beating us in week 12. If we beat Texas, then it would be vs LSU or Tenn (or Georgia).
Lots to occur between now and then. But it is insane that after 12 years of not playing, we could play in back to back weeks with the highest of stakes.
