This game is setting up to be really…I don’t know what to call it…stupid maybe?
There are 5 teams with two SEC losses and 3 teams with one. Of the 5 teams, 3 should win out. Mizzu has to beat SC, and Georgia has to beat UT. If those two things happen, and we beat tu, we will be the only team with 1 SEC loss. There will be 7 teams with 2 SEC losses. Who do we play, and what’s the point?
Say we lose that game, there would then be 8 teams with 2 SEC losses. Of the 8 teams only LSU would have 3 regular season losses. So they’re out of the CFP. SEC champ would be in. You would have 6 teams left. All with 10-2 records in the regular season and Ags with a 10-3 overall. Who goes to the CFP?
Obviously there’s the opportunity for a few more unexpected losses to clear some things up, but there’s a real chance that this 12 team thing does nothing but cause more anger and confusion! I really hate the no division thing.
