Probably been discussed already, but it sure is a weird schedule. Single elimination in the first round and the last two rounds, but they throw in double elimination in the middle.
You're basically screwing one of your teams that might happen to make a "Cinderella " type run. For example, if Alabame or Missouri were to win it all, that would be six games in six days....and then you turn around and play regionals four days later.
Why not start it one day later and make the whole thing single elimination?
