I'm expanding my rum offerings and have been on a deep dive for new rums, but admittedly I'm not super educated on the different styles of rum throughout the carribbean. Any of you guys way into rum and want to give me some of your favs?

Also, before the first "Captain Morgans!" post, I'm looking for more of the representation of each island style. I've got Smith & Cross for Jamaica as it's the funkiest dunder pit-rum I've found so far. You can smell the rotting goat carcass in there. Oddly enough, the rum selection available in Texas is kinda limited. I guess we aren't the target market, but it surprises me given how diverse the state is.

Here's what I have so far on my list of represented rums:

-Jamaica
-Barbados (seems like there are WAY more Barb rums that I realized)
-Guyana
-Venezuela
-Michoacan(Urapan) - surprisingly some super tasty mexican rum agricoles out there

What are some of your favorite esoteric rums? Any of you guys fashion yourself a rum expert outside of the rum and coke drinkers?
