For the last week I’ve heard numerous people incorrectly describing Marcel Reed’s plays as RPOs when it is clearly a Zone Read.
However, I would love to see these become RPOs to counter the likely adjustment by a defense…to have the DE crash on the RB & the LB crash the QB. By adding in a quick WR screen or slant behind the LB we will neutralize their DEs & continue to gash the defense.
Anyone who studied Klein’s offense from KSU know if this was a prominent wrinkle?
