We have a four day school weekend in February and it lines up with when I can get some frequent flyer tickets down to South America. I booked the RT tickets into Rio then realized Carnival starts on the 9th. The tickets are fully refundable, but I don’t know when I’ll ever get ”free” tickets to Rio over Carnival again.
It would be me, the wife and our young teen son. We’ve traveled fairly extensively to some third world countries, so assume we have a healthy tolerance for risk.
We’re not going to join any Samba groups and jump into the parade, but we’d be happy with a ticket to the Sambadrome or to just hang and watch the madness. Would you keep the booking?
