Since the Aggie and pig offenses are nothing alike, I went back to look at the Ole Miss game. Credit to @Cinefunk (whoever that is, because I lifted these shots off his youtube vid). We all know what to expect from the Tide, we all know what needs to be done so I'm not going to waste a lot of time going over those things but will attempt to show some things to expect. As well as show how not to play those things and how to play those things. Very elementary however.
So I think we really need to watch out for the TE, bama has a very talented one. The first shot is a read option, bama is reading the Safety Conner. Bama is running this play out of the pistol with the TE as H-Back.
Pay attention to the FS back by the 1st down marker as he bites on the PA. I'm sure they have this play where the H cracks on the safety as well.
So 88 fakes the block, but if he makes the block there is a lot of area to run! You can see the FS sucking in hard, but the read has been made. This is a well designed play.
So both Safeties bit on the PA and this is a very easy little toss to the TE that went for about 15 up the sideline. Assignment football will be imperative.
