I moved from Kemah to Seabrook 1 week before IKE hit in 2008. House in Kemah (clear lake shores) was destroyed, Seabrook house did fine. It's amazing how much has changed since IKE, especially when it comes to social media, some good some bad. Post IKE we were without power for 17 days, however, we didn't see power poles on their side after IKE like we see today. Poles in front of my house were installed in 1987. We are on day 4 without power and the level of frustration I am seeing is insane. Things gonna pop off long before day 17.
