I'm old and white. Not nearly as into hip hop as I used to be, but know most current popular stuff. Not impressed, but I'm old. Not Like Us has blown me away. Easily the best hip hop I've heard in a decade plus.
I'm a fan of the 90s rap beefs that led to actual deaths. Hard to take a diss track seriously if it's not that level. But Kendrick absolutely murdered Drake. Complete takedown. I don't know how he can go out in public now.
And take away the beef angle. It's just excellent. Kendrick goes from playful and funny to a killer. Just an A+ track all around.
