Over the weekend, four-star quarterback Matt Ponatoski visited Texas A&M. It was a unique situation as he was on a baseball official visit and a football unofficial visit. While on the visits, he was offered by the football staff. The offered was well received by the Ohio native.

"It was awesome," Ponatoski said. "I have had some good talks with them and when they offered I was very excited."

He was actually named Mr Ohio this year after putting up 4,217 yards with 57 TDs and just three interceptions. When asked what stood out about the visit the quarterback gave very high praise.

"I mean it (Texas A&M) has everything you want and need as an athlete but more importantly it was the people down there, they made the weekend for me! They were all so personable and transparent, I had a great time this past weekend," Ponatoski said.

The quarterback got to spend a lot of time with the offensive staff looking at the offense. He loved how they pushed the ball down field and thinks it is a very similar offense that he runs at Moeller High School so he loved everything about the offense. Up next for him will be Arkansas, Georgia Tech and Mississippi State the next three weekends for baseball officials and football unofficials. Then he will try to get some football officials in the summer.
