My wife is scared sh!tless of flying, so we're doing a driving trip for our 15th this fall. Two nights in Buffalo (to see Niagara Falls), a day upstate along the Hudson, three nights in Burlington as a base for exploring the Green and White Mountains. Then to Portland, Maine, then two nights in Boston, then three in NYC. Lots of nature hikes and drives as well as plenty of city time and good restaurants are on the agenda.
She gets two days to choose an activity that I can't veto, and I get the same. We'll definitely be going to a good NFL game once I work out the schedule. Is there something else really great that I need to prioritize? Any suggestions are appreciated. I'm thinking of making us stay an extra day in Maine and driving up to Acadia for a day, but I'm still toying with some other ideas.
