I’m thinking of taking our family vacation to Mexico City this summer. It’ll be my wife and me with 5 teenagers.
I figure Mexico City is probably safer than New Orleans unless you wander into the some of the less savory areas.
But I’ve never been to Mexico City. My only experience in Mexico is border towns, Cancun and Cozumel.
I’m not worried about my kids sneaking out to go explore the city at 2AM. My wife is worried about safety in Mexico, but I think if we take common sense precautions about where we visit, it’ll be fine.
I’m looking for AY’s opinion about this as a destination and suggestions as to where to stay and what to do while we’re there.
