So your saying those who died in wars for the US are losers and suckers? That’s low even for you but explains a lot.

Trump also today said he never call John Mccain a loser. That is on video. I don't know whether he said this or not, but him or his people denying it carries little weight.
Feels subjective and not at all the point. The point was Trump called him that, it's on tape, and today he said it never happened. He is not tethered to the truth.

Even John Bolton corroborated Trump's version of the facts in his recent book in terms of why the visit was cancelled.
Not quite what he said, but close enough that it was a low blow and wrong. I just rewatched it. He said that McCain was considered a war hero because he was captured and Trump likes people who aren't captured. In reality, McCain was a war hero and Trump shouldn't have said that. Still, doesn't mean he's said everything attributed to him.
He called McCain a loser in that same interview. Not because he was captured, just in general.
