Certainly a lot of truth in his take, but where I disagree with him a little is that Johnny was doing as well at Cleveland as any recent veteran and actually won a few games. What he needed was for the coaching staff to play him, show confidence, let him grow, and take the pressure off of him. Also, let him scramble and teach receivers how to play that way. I agree that zone reads are the wrong way to develop a running game with him, but so what. QB draws and powers have to be limited, sure. So what. Let Johnny be Johnny and let him scramble and play some back yard football some of the time. Let the backs and receivers learn how to play with him. Give it some time. And get some better offensive linemen for God's sake.

Still his comments are mostly spot on.
