to approve my customer's claim from hurricane Beryl. She had a tree crash on to her home and a single mother of three, the only insurance she could afford had a 18,000 deductible and wouldn't cover a tenth of my estimate after several back and forth messages. She went to FEMA to try and get assistance for all the items her insurance wouldn't accept. Four months later they finally approved at least the roof portion, but that was still only about half the estimate.

Ridiculous she has had to sit there for four months with a tarp on her roof, because god forbid you do any actual repairs before the estimate is approved. Our government at work, doing nothing, never ceases to amaze me.
