I used to work at a sporting goods/gun store part time. Some of the agents did not know how to operate a firearm, check to see if it was unloaded, what are the different actions, etc. One was freaking out on how many firearms were sold while she was there even though this was a relatively small business in Denton. Agents would try to shut the whole store down while they did the inspection. They did that once while the Sherriff was there and he told them no, they could do their job while business activity continued. The store got into mild trouble because the staff occasionally filled in the county or zip the customer forgot to do. They did not know it all had to be in the customer's handwriting. That kind of thing is what ATF is now using to cancel licenses, pissy stuff, not real issues. The graph above indicates they have really started going after gun buy citizens by trying to shut down the stores. That is one reason Walmart is cutting back on selling ammo and firearms, too easy to get into trouble. Understand they simply do not cancel your license, the confiscate your firearm inventory and most places have been unable to get that back creating a huge loss for the store. Also, there is no opportunity for the store to explain what happened which is a significant change. Your current administration at work. Expect more of this.
