We harvested 2 great bucks this week end at our ranch-deer were really moving after the front passed. Saw at least 30 bucks during the trip but a lot of them were still in groups.Never sat in a blind the whole trip-just used the rangers and drove the roads slowly. This maybe the best way to hunt our ranch. The quality of bucks we saw was a little hard to believe. I would say we saw at least 20 bucks over 200 inches of antler. This is the best buck population that we have ever had at one time. We harvested the largest buck that we have ever had on the place.The other buck we harvested was a really good one also.We will post the photos soon. I really get a bang out of harvesting bucks of this quality-being able to put your hands on this type mass is what it is all about. These 2 bucks had everything you could want-mass,tine length,number of points, kickers every where-now the question can we do better next year I hope so.
