Well spoken....That was so far over the top it should be insulting to the people's ass he was trying to kiss.

I weep over dead dogs but the other stuff just makes me wanna pull my hair out...and I still have a special place in my heart full of hate for franchioneI have not yet seen it. But let the guy weep. You guys weep over fumbles, Fran 4th & 1s, dead dogs, and dog poop on lawns.
Give Herbstriet some room!
Hey, thanks for the sermon, padre. You gonna pass the plate now?No one is going to discount Herbstreit. He is very well respected in the game but that was a little to much. However for all the people on here that type "Here" for every good Ag that passes. The lack of empathy for social injustice is very contradictory.
^^^^^^^^^This is 100%
Speaking personally, I have much empathy for social injustices, especially for the ones largely ignored because they can't be packaged, branded, and marketed for political gain.No one is going to discount Herbstreit. He is very well respected in the game but that was a little to much. However for all the people on here that type "Here" for every good Ag that passes. The lack of empathy for social injustice is very contradictory.
Brees went from never kneeling to the flag to wearing a rapist on his helmet, pathetic. It’s the new mantra for people pandering to college kids and minorities I guess. He had to show sufficient emotion to let everyone know he’s woke enough. It’s the equivalent to Drew Brees having the name of a rapist put on his helmet. It’s stupid and should be called out as such in a free society
This is the correct answer. Strictly a CYA move and he’s a bitch for it.White guilt is smart job insurance for Media folks .

Or it doesn’t fit the bullshit narrative that’s being shoved down our throat and you obviously believe.I don’t know who those white folks in the pictures are ...but I think it’s safe to say they didn’t spend their youths fearing police profiling and harassment bet...they just got shot while unarmed and why isn’t the the white community outraged by their deaths ...
I bet the vast majority of those dumb asses resisted arrest or in some way fought the police that shot them. Just like every video from Michael Brown the thief that just robbed a store to the rapist that was recently fighting police and pulling a knife.I don’t know who those white folks in the pictures are ...but I think it’s safe to say they didn’t spend their youths fearing police profiling and harassment bet...they just got shot while unarmed and why isn’t the the white community outraged by their deaths ...
This.An issue here is when you bring up that there are only a handful of unarmed black men shot in the country by cops out of hundreds of thousands of interactions the response is people live in fear of being killed and/or are being harassed.
1. If that’s the case then why are the handful of people resisting arrest if they’re scared instead of brazenly fighting it?
2. Why are we having cities destroyed over alleged harassment when it’s the video of the cops spawning everything?
I’m all for punishing cops that do wrong and no doubt they exist. I don’t agree with no knock warrants. I don’t agree with a policy of targeting one race over another. I also understand statistically young black males in the inner city commit a disproportionate amount of crimes. If you’re a cop and you’ve seen something a majority is the time it’s impossible to ignore. We are told we need to listen to people’s lived experiences? What about the police who risk their lives every day and aren’t racist?
This is an impossible situation to get to zero. Some unarmed, violent, criminals a lot of which are on drugs and resisting arrest are going to get shot. I would prefer they didn’t. I also think the idea that there is some national mandate for white cops to harass black people is false and done irreparable harm to race relations in this country. I hope we can figure it out but as long as race can be weaponized for power it won’t be.
Catching up on my Game Day. I didn’t know Herbstreit broke down on the show. I hadn’t seen until now and I did get to see it in context of the show. The players contribution to the show gave great perspective that the issues are far broader than unjust policing.I know I am in the minority on this and I think its a bit much of a response for sure. Maria Taylor responding to it should help show the impact it has on others. Herb is a right leaning guy regardless of what you think of this 2 min monologue. His point and Franklin quote are relevant regardless of what this board thinks about the subject.
Fowler's comment at the end is the primary point. Need to have hearts that are open.
