What a terrible half of football. It's amazing A&M is going into halftime tied.

They only reason that they're tied is because Marcel Reed has become a wizard. He's thrown for 103 yards on 7-11 passing and has 49 yards rushing. He's gotten the Aggies out of a lot of bad situations with his legs and his judgement has been superb. But what is different is that his accuracy is so much better than before. He's putting the ball right where it needs to be just about every time.
We'd better get used to life without Le'Veon Moss. I think he's done for this year. So it'll be Daniels, who has been just fine, and Smith, who hasn't. The power running game wasn't working early, but clearly, it got going in the second quarter. A&M has 119 yards rushing at 5.4 yards a carry.
Jabre Barber has been awesome. He's made tough catches, easy catches and everything in between. Noah Thomas should have a touchdown, but he was absolutely mugged on the fade. Collin Klein had a great design on a crosser to get Tre Watson open. We're seeing more of the offense he ran at K-State tonight, and Reed is doing exactly what he needs to.
The offensive line has held SC's stud pass rushers in check and has only allowed 2 tackles for loss. But the inability to get a push on the 4th down at the A&M 35 hurts badly.

Defensively, they have flat out sucked. The tackling is as bad as I've ever seen it. They've had Sellers dead to rights at least five times and he's gotten away. They've missed a ton of tackles everywhere, and multiple ones on a bunch of plays. You can't even point at a guy and not say that he hasn't missed one. South Carolina has run for a sickening 7 yards a rush and 169 yards total. This is the worst it's been since Notre Dame.
The defense started to come to life in the second quarter, with Shemar Stewart and Will Lee popping guys and holding up on 4th and 2 at the 40. But the idiotic penalties have been killers. Shemar Turner has been called for two personal fouls and BJ Mayes wiped out a turnover with a holding call. Lee really turned the game around with his forced fumble, but A&M has no sacks and only 3 TFL against one of the absolute worst offensive lines in the nation. It's time for the proverbial halftime adjustments.

I appreciate Mike Elko's faith in his guys, but the 4th down call was a bad one. He should have punted and made life tougher on Sellers, if that was possible. But it was the right move inside the 10 and Klein is calling a great game. If the Aggies can freaking tackle, they will win this one.
