The Aggies seem to be in total control of this thing. They're beating on Arkansas pretty good at this point.

Offensively, Max Johnson has been great. He's 13-17 for 169 yards and 2 TDs. Just about everything has been on the mark. I said I didn't think they had the talent in the secondary to handle all of A&M's receivers, and that's been the case to this point. Ainias Smith has 3 catches for 69 yards and Max has been able to hit a bunch of receivers. His stats would be better if Jahdae Walker hadn't dropped at least two passes.

The running game is starting to come alive, and it's Le'Veon Moss leading the way again. He has 25 yards on just 4 carries, and he's pounding the ball right down Arkansas' throat. Nobody's taking him down on the first hit. Amari Daniels also had a big first down run of 14 on a 3rd and 1, with Bryce Foster clearing out a guy to open the gap.

The offensive line has done its best job to date on picking up the blitz. Arkansas is bringing it on virtually every play, but they're either picked up, they're late or Max hits the hot read. On the first scoring drive, they blitzed right in his face and he threw it right past the blitzer to Moss for 8. That's good work all the way around.

The defense has not given up a touchdown in 10 quarters. After their big opening drive, Arkansas has 81 yards total. The Hogs have 21 carries for just 39 yards, and Rocket Sanders had not changed much in their fortunes. Their offensive line is just terrible and A&M is exploiting it. The Aggies already have 3 sacks and 7 tackles for loss.
The defensive line changed the face of the game when they demolished Arkansas' front on that ill-advised 4th and 1 call at their own 40. Walter Nolen and McKinnley Jackson blew through that line before they had a prayer. Sanders couldn't do anyhing.

Tackling-wise, A&M seems to be doing better. Certainly, they got better after the first drive, when they missed a bunch of tackles and allowed 3 3rd down conversions. Since then, Arkansas is 1 of their last 5 on third down opportunities. The Aggies have done a very good job of not only pressuring KJ Jefferson, but keeping him in the pocket.

If the Aggies can get a touchdown right after halftime, this thing may well be over. It's a screwball series, so I wouldn't say it WILL be over. But the problems we saw with Arkansas have been exploited so far, which is a refreshing change in this series. Hopefully it'll keep up.
