Pretty true. I know a few who just always wanted to be judges. I never have and several great lawyers I know have zero desire.

There are a few. I tried a case in philly last year with a Stanford law grad judge who was brilliant.

Then we also have ones in Houston who just plead guilty to embezzlement.

That’s true. I personally prefer a judge like Hittner who doesn’t care if you settle. You want a trial, you get a trial.
