My dad did not attend A&M or tu, but actually obtained his degree from UHV after his first retirement from Halliburton said this after the game:
“Your head coach isn’t going to make it at A&M. From what has happened the second half of the season to you and especially tonight, this stage is too big for him. I just don’t see a confident coach.”
My dad is a very proud Aggie father and grandfather, but he pulls for all Texas universities in sporting events. He’s one of the very few people that I know that is not tied to any specific team at any level, so I always welcome his non-emotional perspective.
I don’t post this to bash Elko, only to give an opinion on what a true non-biased observer sees. It will be interesting to see if he’s right or Elko makes him eat shit. Time will tell.
