The Trump/Musk regime DEI purge has reached a new level of insanity. Some of us old timers remember a plane by the name of “Enola Gay,” famous for dropping the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima Japan. The old B-29 remains on display at the National Air and Space Museum. The aircraft was named after Enola Gay Tibbits, the mother of the pilot who flew the aircraft on its historic mission.
However, images of the aircraft have been removed from Department of Defense historical websites. Why? The DEI crusade, by woman abusing Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, expressly included orders to remove any pictures that included the word “gay.” The whackadoodle purge included not only pictures of the Enola Gay, but also any pictures honoring individuals who had the misfortune (in this regime) of having “Gay” as their name.
Now you may feel this sounds just too batshit crazy to possibly be true. I certainly agree that it SHOULD be too insane to be true. It should be the stuff of satirical parody, perhaps from The Onion, or Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update. Sadly, however, it is true. No amount of satire can keep up with the absurdities of this regime.
The Musk/Trump regime does like renaming things. Perhaps Trump will sign an official order renaming this plane simply, “Enola.” A properly redacted picture of the plane can then be reinstated.
Keep in mind, these are the same clowns who told you taking down Confederate statues was “destroying history.”
