Offensively, says they struggled in the passing game (yeah). Says they need to create better opportunities to get players open. Says Conner never got his feet settled, that they got out of control and that caused his inaccuracy. Indicates he might have been gunshy. Says Weigman knew it, he saw it on the film.

For most of the game, the defense played the way they wanted them to, but slipped up twice and that cost them the game. Says they're especially looking at second and long, where they really didn't perform well.

"They made the plays and we didn't, and we have to figure out how to close that gap."

Says McNeese is a RPO, spread it out kind of offense. He knows all their guys. Not like Jimbo, mentioning numbers.

Says the offensive line definitely improved, that the pockets were cleaner. Noted that the secondary didn't give up anything deep.

Separation for the receivers isn't just on them, some of it is playcalling and route-running. Says the receivers have to play faster, not just run faster. As for Bussey, they're still getting him ready.

Says they're making decisions on more than 1,000 reps in the spring and summer.

Mark Nabou is out for the year. I'm surprised, because he got hurt and came back in.

Says they had poor leverage on the third level on the big runs and they have to figure that out fast.

Blames Weigman's issues on rust. "Nobody diminishes what it is to go out onto Kyle Field for the first time...that's not going out to practice on Tuesday."

Says Weigman is a competitor and a winner and they're still confident in him.
